 A strong earthquake in Sumatra.. Tsunami warnings are issued... An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.3 has struck near the Sumatra Islands in Indonesia. Several aftershocks have also been reported after this shock occurred about 84 kilometers deep in the sea.   Heat shocks in Sri Lanka due to extreme heat.. Two people die.. Two people have died due to heat shock these days. Both those persons are residents of Epawala area. One person died after getting tired and having ice water poured on his head during the New Year tug-of-war, while the other person died after taking a bath in the sun after going to mow the grass in his paddy field. The two persons who have died are in the age groups of 34 and 38 years.   An earthquake in Hambantota...   An earthquake has occurred in the sea border near Hambantota this morning. The person who made a phone call to the police emergency number saying that there will be an attack on a Muslim church in Akurana on Easter has been arrested.   The opposition is boycotting the IMF debate in the parliament saying that they cannot speak English.  Woman dies during Sri Pada Vandana... A 79-year-old woman who came from Monaragala to worship Sripada died in the early hours of the 21st, Nallathanniya Police Station Chief Inspector E. S.
