An earthquake in Hambantota...

An earthquake has occurred in the sea border near Hambantota this morning. The Bureau of Geology and Mines states that the earthquake occurred in the sea border which is about 25 kilometers from Hambantota Beach.

The magnitude of the earthquake was 4.4 on the Richter scale. However, the bureau also informs that people should not worry about this situation.

A founding member of the Gallumudoora struggle to oust former President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa has committed suicide. Buddhi Prabodha Karanaratne, this person committed suicide by writing a letter.
