The MP also said that the Free People's Assembly will negotiate with the International Monetary Fund in this regard. He also said that he will discuss with the representatives of the fund about the irregularities that have occurred in getting the compensation for the ship accident.   Indians can use Indian Rupees in this country.. - Central Bank Governor Mr. Nandalal Weerasinghe, Governor of the Central Bank states that Indian tourists coming to Sri Lanka can use Indian rupees in Sri Lanka. He also claims that Indian rupees can be used for trade transactions between the two countries.  A strong earthquake in Sumatra.. Tsunami warnings are issued... An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.3 has struck near the Sumatra Islands in Indonesia. Several aftershocks have also been reported after this shock occurred about 84 kilometers deep in the sea. Based on this situation, people along the coast of West Sumatra have been evacuated and tsunami warnings have been issued.   Heat shocks in Sri Lanka due to extreme heat.. Two people die.. Two people have died due to heat shock these days. Both those persons are residents of Epawala area. One person died after getting tired and having ice water poured on his head during the New Year tug-of-war, while the other person died after taking a bath in the sun after going to mow the grass in his paddy field. The two persons who have died are in the age groups of 34 and 38 years.
