Member of Parliament Professor G L Peiris states that there is doubt as to whether the loan amount given to Sri Lanka by the International Monetary Fund will go into the pockets of each individual.

The MP also said that the Free People's Assembly will negotiate with the International Monetary Fund in this regard.

He also said that he will discuss with the representatives of the fund about the irregularities that have occurred in getting the compensation for the ship accident.

The MP further said that there has been a serious claim that a minister has been extorted from this shipwreck and the International Monetary Fund should pay more attention in this regard.
